RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ATTENDANT

CASUAL - BEAVER VALLEY RECREATION

 

The RDKB is currently seeking applications to fill a casual Recreational Facilities Attendant - Operator in Training position located in Beaver Valley, BC, reporting to the Manager of Facilities and Recreation.

The Recreation Facilities Attendant - Operator in Training, participates in the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of the Beaver Valley recreation facilities, including the Beaver Valley Arena.  This is a  training role designed for candidates to gain experience, knowledge, and education that allows them to move into an RFA1 designation. This role provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to ensure smooth execution of activities, events, and programs hosted in all facilities and ideal candidate needs to be available on short notice.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Grade 12 Diploma required at the employment start date
  • Provincial or other vocational professional certification, or designation required to be obtained within two years of the start date:
    • Standard First Aid
    • Class 5 BC driver's license
    • WHMIS
    • Building Service Worker 1 (Custodial Training)
    • Refrigeration Safety Awareness Certificate
    • Ice Facility Operator Certificate
    • Applicable Mobile Equipment Training
