TEMPORARY PART-TIME - ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

McKelvey Creek Landfill

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary invites qualified applicants from within the Bargaining Unit CUPE Local 2254 to apply for a temporary part-time Landfill Attendant position in the Environmental Services department for work at the McKelvey Creek Landfill.

DUTIES:

The duties, reporting structure and required qualifications are as per the attached Job Description.

SALARY:

The position offers a rate of pay of $29.97 (2025 rates) per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits.

WORK TERM:

This is a temporary contract to cover a permanent worker on an approved leave of absence. 

This may be a good opportunity for qualified casual and part-time employees who have availability to work the set schedule. The successful candidate will return to their current position/status at the end of the term.

HOURS OF WORK:

Temporary part-time:

3 days per week (18 hours)

9:30am - 3:30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
